Random Scan Display       

1. The Electron Beam is directed to only that part of screen whare picture is required to be drawn,one lines at a time.
2. Random Scan Display has High Resolution as it stores picture definition as a set of line commands.
3. The refresh rate of random scan display is 30 to 60 frames per second(fps).
4. Smooth Line is produced because directly the line path is followed by electron beam.
5. Real life images cannot be displayed..

Raster Scan Display

1. The Electron Beam is directed from top to bottom and one row at a time on whole screen..
2. Raster scan display has low resolution as picture definition is stored as a intensity value.
3. Refresh rate is around 60-80 frames per seconds or Hertz.
4. Zig-Zag line is produced becauseplotted value are discrete..
5. Real life images can be displayed with different shades.
