Linking:

Linking between documents play a very important role in website development.By the help of linking we can join a number of  webpages. The property by which we join more than one documents is called Hyper Link.Hyperlinks are links that take us to another page or website.The text or an image that provides such linkages is called Hypertext,Hyperlink or Hotspot.

The properties of Hyperlinked Text:

1. Appear blue in color
2. The hyperlink text/image is underlined
3. When the mouse cursor is placed over it,the mouse cursor changes to the shape in hand.

Links are created in the webpages by using the tags.Anythings written between the tags becomes a hyperlink/hotspot.By clicking that links we jump on that locatiojn which are defined intag.

Attributes of tags:

1. Href : Specifies the URL or location of the document to be linked to
2. Name: Specifies the name of the anchor we are creating.
3. Title: Specifies the title that appears when link is selected,but not yet clicked..
